    Hi Alison,
I read Pretty Is As Pretty Does today. I’m 45 and I giggled out loud. The characters were so damn spot on. The small -town family “classes” (ugh), the continual vain observations of a young married beautiful woman (oh my jiggling stomach from laughing), the dark-skinned lover, etc.

I know you wrote the 20 questions murder book, but…….Please tell me there will be a sequel to Pretty Is As Pretty Does?

Please please please. Bob and Evaline need to be secret lovers now. And Lucy needs to spend the next several years following Billy around the country. They could move back when their daughter is a teen and she can compete against all her red-headed almost- cousins.

Anyway, I wanted you to know you have a new fan in Texas.

      Shauna,
Good ideas! Bob and Evaline were made for each other, weren’t they. That’s what I always thought, but poor Bob never did know what was good for him. When I first started writing that book, Evaline was the protagonist. Then, later, I tried writing it from alternating points of view: Evaline and Lucy, but then, finally, Lucy took over and it was her story, relegating Evaline to a minor part. I’m glad you noticed Evaline. The true hero of the story. I’m currently buried in writing projects (and so little time to get to them), but I like your idea, Shauna, new fan in Texas…

Alison, I’m marching off to the bookstore to purchase 20 Questions. I love the concept and story. By I’m now writing a novel for the Middle-Grade Reader, trying to write it to fit a certain genre. However, deep down, I do not want to do that. Should I?
